The restaurant Dao Tien, located in the heart of the historic district of Hoi An, is one of the most reputed in town. Installed in an old 1930 French Colonial house, it has been opened by Mrs Dao Tien and her husband, former chef of the 5-star Victoria Hoi An, a first-class reference. On the street level, a small open dining-room with 2 terraces ; on the upper floor, another dining-room with balcony, both of them elegantly furnished and decorated.

The food is particularly refined and includes all the classics of the famous Hoi An gastronomy, such as White Roses (raviolis of rice flour and shrimp powder, a recipe that the locals keep secret), grilled fish in a banana leave, mi quăng, a delicious noodle soup, and other specialties, as well as more classic, but as delicious dishes, served by styled employees in a colorful ao dai.

The Dao Tien is equally famous for having developed a program of training for needy youngsters, financed by the restaurant profits : one year of hospitality, cooking, and Tourism English courses, placement of the students in local establishments, and follow up of their career.

In November 2011, a second restaurant will open just behind the first one, with a large terrace on the Hoi An River.
